Oracle Database Mobile Server - is it EOL?

Will there be updates and upgrades to Mobile Server, or should customers start to look elsewhere?
I see posts claiming that 12.2 version should be out soon (about 1 year ago), and people having trouble with support for (now even old) specific Android versions.
What is the roadmap for Mobile Server?
