Human tasks getting released after completing in Oracle BPM 12.2.1.2

We have Oracle BPM application. For some of the task in that application the tasks are coming into released state after 3 days of being completed. This issue is intermittent and it's not happening with every other tasks. Also it happens once in a while with few task. We could see that it's happening with the tasks that are assigned to group.

We have  checked the instances , the user took the action on the human tasks , it got completed and the it moved to the next activity in the process. The instance is working fine. It is proceeding as per the default sequence flow. The problem is with the human tasks. It got completed and after three days of completion it got automatically released and got assigned. We don't think there is any way the human task can get released after it's completion. Please check the screenshot below for reference.

There are 2 common ways to automatically release instances. If it was caused by a due transition sequence flow, then you would have noticed the task instances going to the activity at the end of that sequence flow.

On the other hand, are you seeing the instances leaving the activity and going to the next activity in the process via the default sequence flow.  If that's the case, have you checked the human task properties for the activity?  Check and see if the human task itself doesn't have a 3 day deadline.

    Hope this helps,

    Dan
