We use Hyperion Planning, and every time we Install  EPMA  components:

EPMA Data Synchronizer

EPMA Server

EPMA Web Tier

IIS (hyperiomn-bpms-server)

As I know EPMA is  EPM extension, do we need these components if we use classic "Hyperion Planning and Essbase"  ?

Our hyperion epm 11.1.2.4

Our security audit insists that we need remove unused components (including IIS), but I'm affraid that it could affect on the Hyperion Planning and Foundation Services

If we are not using and wants to remove, yes you can. Otherwise we can simply disable those in workspace or disable services also.

Do not know about licensing part, if we disable, still they will charge or not.

    Thanks,

If we want to use Planning and Foundation Services, IIS not used anywhere (In case if you use it as Web server, it will be useful, otheriwse no need)
