Heap Space Issue

Hi Team,

We updated the heap size via weblogic application with the below parameter in the path below.

Home >Summary of Servers >edq_server1>Arguments:

-Xms4096m -Xmx32768m -XX:MaxPermSize=4096m

Here the issue was when we are restarting the EDQ application via shell scripts it is taking the 2gb only (default space or installation time alloted space), but when we are restarting the front end application it is taking 32 gb.

cd $EDQ_HOME1/user_projects/domains/base_domain/bin/

nohup ./startManagedWebLogic.sh edq_server1 > managed.out &

Could you please help us what would be the root cause. Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,

Bapiraju

If you start EDQ with a script the script itself may set the heap.

In recent versions the best place to set heap memory is in setStartUp.env for the EDQ_Managed_Servers startup group. This ensures that any managed servers in this group get the correct arguments.
