Hi Experts,

I'm trying to install Essbase only on a test machine.   I have done this many times before.  This time I'm having an issue.  Looks like WebLogic is not being installed/configured somehow as when I get to the configuration screen, I get the below.

I have tried disabling my Firewall and AntiVirus etc.

  Any ideas?

Not sure all the Items under WebLogic on the start menu are there ?

Could it be related to this?  I just noticed I go a failure on a Prerequisite Check.  Not sure what's going on here....

The error is explaining the issue, sounds DNS related as the host is resolving to an IP address.

Maybe you can host file as a temporary measure so the IP resolves to a host name.

    Cheers

Thanks for the response!  Sorry but no idea what that means?  Are you saying to look at my host file in my 'etc' folder on my machine?  I'm not a netowork guru and the lingo confuses me somewhat

I checked my host DNS for IPv4.  Is this wrong?  I have never mucked with this...

Have a look at the support doc "EPM Installation Error "EPMINS-01025: The host name resolved to an IP address - <address>. Provide a host name." (Doc ID 1305222.1)"

On my laptop.  It's a VMWare virtual machine that is Windows 10 and I access via VMWare Workstation 15.  I just upgraded to version 15.

My VM had a computer name of DESKTOP-SOMETHING.   I renamed it to something without a dash in it.  I also re-unzipped all the source files from eDelivery.  Rebooted and re-installed everything.  I still get the EPMCFG-10062 error, but everything installed ok.  When I got to the configuration, this time it worked and took.  I'm able to use Essbase now.  Did the dash really have a negative affect on the process?  Or was it more likely I had a corrupt file in there somewhere?

I think it's working fine now, but concerned about the EPMCFG-10062 issue.  Should I even worry about it?  Not really sure the significance of it.
