Currently i am having 6 databases of  which 2 are Data warehouse. if i consolidate these  6 in to pluggable databases in a single CDB does it affect my archive log writing speeds and lead  to contention since all 6 pluggable dbs uses  the same archive logs. Or can i use  2 CDBs, one dedicated for OLTP and another for OLAP, where i can mention 2 separate archive log for different CDBs. Need your expertise.

its not about "archive logs", its about SQL queries generated in OLTP is different than OLAP and how you deal with them in terms of performance and tuning.

i don't see something that can stop you from having all within the same container.

    hope this helps !

    Hi,

If databases are big in size, its good to have dedicated environment for each. But,Its depends on your project requirement finally to decide on how to go ahead.

    Thanks
