Custom View in PBCS

Hi All,

Can anyone please confirm whether can we create any kind of custom view in our PBCS environment. We are currently loading data via files through Data Management but users are complaining about preparing that file and time taken in this exercise.

In on Prem Hyperion Planning we use to create a custom view and used lookups with view columns. In that case only maintenance was mappings. Still figuring what is optimum for PBCS.

Can you expand on what you mean by custom view, are you talking about a database view querying a database table? if so then the answer is no you can't do that as there is no access to create a database view.

Yes I meant DB View.

So there is no mechanism of data loading other than files

At present you can only load data directly from Oracle supported sources or files, more information on what is supported at Integrating Data
