Fiscal year in Hyperion

Hi team,

In our application, we have calendar year at the moment and we need to add fiscal year(Apr till Mar) as well.

What will be the best option to proceed with this ?

Option 1 : Create Dynamic Calc  and Store members in store members in period dimension with formulas, So will have only (19) members

FY - YearTotal,

FY - HF1,

FY - Q1,

FY - Jan,

FY - Feb,

FY - Mar,

FY - Q2,

FY - Apr,

FY - May,

FY - Jun,

FY - HF2,

FY - Q3,

FY - Jul,

FY - Aug,

FY - Sep,

FY - Q4,

FY - Oct,

FY - Nov,

FY - Dec,

Option 2: Create  Dynamic calc members with formulas, but the members in period dimensions will increase.

What will be the best way to handle this? or any other approach please ? Thanks

If the Period dimension is Dense tagging it as Dynamic Calc wouldn't solve the purpose (rather than tagging it as Dynamic calc & store or member formulas)? For the Calendar year retain the structure what you have and create a alternate Hierarchy as Dynamic Calc and add the needed members as shared.
