How do I get hard disk health status in ILOM without HMP installed in host?

I am using a X4-2 server with an Esxi installed. Since there is no Hardware Management Package (HMP) available for Esxi, the hard disk health status in ILOM CLI always shows "Not Available".
e.g.
-> show /System -t health
......
/System/Storage | health | Not Available
/System/Storage/Disks/Disk_0 | health | Not Available
/System/Storage/Disks/Disk_1 | health | Not Available
/System/Storage/Disks/Disk_2 | health | Not Available
/System/Storage/Disks/Disk_3 | health | Not Available
Is it possible to detect hard disk failure/degrade by other CLI command?
Or is it possible to get RAID status via Esxi? The 4 HDDs are configured as RAID 10 in SCSI controll card.
Thanks in advance.

Hello Cho bon,
Can you please be more specific about the RAID card controller information in ILOM?
What does the following command show?
-> show /System/PCI_Devices/Add-on/Device_4
There are 2 types of LSI (Broadcom) 8 port 6Gb HBA controller available for Sun Server X4-2, one is called Erie (SGX-SAS6-INT-Z) and one is called Niwot (SGX-SAS6-R-INT-Z)
Erie is using sas2ircu utility to manage the disks (https://www.broadcom.com/support/oem/oracle/6gb/sg_x_sas6-int-z ) and Niwot is using MegaCLI utility (https://www.broadcom.com/support/oem/oracle/6Gb/sg_x_sas6-r-int-z )
Alternatively you can use MegaRAID Storage Manager (MSM) which is a nice GUI tool. More information can be found here:
I hope this helps.
Best regards,
Claudiu

Hi.
X4-2 can be ordred with different type of RAID-card.
From You post is not clear what ESXi version you use.
One of popular RAID card for this server is LSI-based RAID card.
In this case this link can be usefull:

Hi, Nik
Thank you for your response.
ILOM stated SCSI controller is "Sun Storage 6Gb SAS PCIe HBA, Internal".
And Esxi version, "ESXi-6.7.0-20190402001-standard".
I am reading your recommended URL and try to get hint from the clue.
Regards.

Hello Cho bon,
Did the previous note helped you in any way?
Have you managed to find the tool to monitor the health status of the disks/volumes?
Best regards,
Claudiu

Thank you very much, Claudiu.
After about 3 years, I have to face the problem again since an HDD failure in a remote data center really happened.
And finally, I followd Claudiu's hint and found a thread in vmware helpful.
Solved: vsphere 6.7 LSI raid card, can't get drive status - Page 2 - VMware Technology Network VMTN
After installing sas2ircu into my Esxi(6.7), it shows HDD status at last.

Hello @ Cho bon,
I am glad that you have sorted out the disk management solution and you can monitor the drives health status.
Best regards,
Claudiu
