Can a LOOKUP Dimension be used in Multi-Dimension Maps

Can I reference a LOOKUP dimension in a multi-dimension map? I've tested and it failed, so I'm guessing not. Is it possible? Thanks.

Hello 643dp,
No lookup dims cannot be used in multi-dim maps. They are not even visible in the dropdown selection as available dimension(s) when building the maps.
Thank you,

Ditto. I've seen LOOKUP dimensions working fine in Multi Dimension maps

Let me clarify.
Depending on the source system, number of dimensions currently existing, and sequence.... they may not show up in the drop down. It is quite an interesting set of scenarios Oracle development is looking into.
Most notably:
For data-sync, open interface or universal data adapter locations, they will not appear at all.
For flat-file locations, I've had limited success on having them show up in the drop down... but it depends on the total number of dimensions. Examples I have now with applications using the full 20 do not show up correctly in the drop-downs.

The LOOKUP dimension needs to be assigned a field/value on the Import Format before it appears in MultiDim maps.

Sorry but it works with UDA, OI and Data Sync.

Good to know. I guess you can still learn a thing or two from time to time.

You have to assign a field to it in Import format, otherwise it won`t be present in multi-dim maps.
