Webhop redirect does not work

i'm trying to set up a redirect to a specific port on another dyn address, but the redirect doesn't work.
When I enter the webhop address in a browser I get the message that the site can not be reached:
the webpage at "http://url:port/" might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address
But if I enter the "http:/url:port" into the browser the page loads without an issue.
How to fix this?

Ensure that you entered the correct full URL as the destination for the webhop.
In the form http://fullhostname:portnumber/ -
It is entered correctly, I've checked and doublechecked a thousand times over. If I use the webhop address it does not work. If I use the redirect address it works. Tried in opera and chrome, both gave the same error.

Then I would need to know the two participating host names to become able to help.

I don't know why, but it started working now. I certainly didn't change anything on my end. It wasn't working for at least 3 days.
