Hi,

I am using FDM 11.1.2.1 and I am facing an issue in FDM.

All data loads from FDM to HFM is run with admin credentials and overrides the review level security provisioning of the users. How can we change this so that the loads happen using individual usernames.

Thanks in advance,

AK

You do not need to have a username and password specified in the Machine Profile of the Adapter in the FDM Workbench. If you do specify one here it will override any settings that you choose in the Integration Settings of the FDM Web Application.

Removing the username and password from the Machine Profile will not cause connection errors, the issue must be somewhere else. Are you sure the user logged into FDM is provisioned for the target application? After removing the user credentials from the Machine Profile try configuring the Global User in Integration settings as the use you has in the machine profile and see if that remedies your connection issues. If it does it will show that your issue is with the user you are logged in with when attempting to use the Unified logon settings

In the Integration Settings --> Connection Options make sure that the Logon Method is set to Unified and not Global. This will ensure that the HFM adapter uses the username and password of the user logged into FDM when performing actions against the HFM target application

    Thank you for the reply.

We already have the Logon method set as Unified. Current Machine Profile settings in FDM Workbench uses the admin user credentials. As per the Oracle documentation, logon method specified by the integration settings can be overridden by providing Username and Password in Machine Profiles.

However, when we removed the admin user credentials from Machine Profiles in FDM Workbench, all the data loads failed with the error "Export failed. Adpater function [fconnect] failed."

We need the data loads to run with individual user names, so that it happens according to the security provisioning of the users.

Is there any way we can achieve this?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks

    AK
