Experts ,

OEM alerts suddenly stopped. Alerts are not getting generated.

What could be the reason ?  Where do we check to fix it ?

    Hi,

If there is no change in the system with respect to the Incident Rules + Notifications, then the only possibility would be the jobs system.

Check if the job system is working fine?
Does the simple OS command job works fine?

If the job_queue_processes value is set to 0, we have seen this case.
    SQL>show parameter job_queue_processes;

If none of the above, then once possibility would be the performance of the system might  be back. It can be at OMS level OR Repository Level.

Check for the Notification Throughput + Errors in the UI

In Grid Control : Login -> Setup -> Management Services and Repository -> Repository Operations -> Notification Check.

Check for the graph under 'Notifications Checked' and the details of Job : Notification Check

          under 'Repository DBMS Job Status'.

    Best Regards,
    Venkat

    Hi Venkat ,

    Thank you for update.

Actually this issue was fixed yesterday by team lead.

He told that some trace files occupied space, after clearing those files BI publisher service started and works fine.

May i know, where do i check logs for OEM ?

What is the location for trace or log files for OEM ?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Whatever the machine is, the configurations needed for EM are based on the size of your EM going to be.

    SMALL
    MEDIUM
    LARGE

This is again based on the # of targets you are going to monitor.

Here i am giving you the Hardware Requirements link which explains these details in brief,

    https://docs.oracle.com/en/enterprise-manager/cloud-control/enterprise-manager-cloud-control/13.3.1/embsc/oracle-enterpr…

    Best Regards,

    Hi,

One more information would like to share is, If you have large environment, the following document will give you more details of available parameters which can help you to improve your performance.

But this is needed only for Large environments.

EM13c: Tuning Enterprise Manager Cloud Control Performance in the Large Enterprise (Large Configuration Installation Option) (Doc ID 2304030.1)
