Have any one did Essbase clustering in EPM 11.2 version?

We are trying to perform it but the Essbase OPMN is not getting started. After configuration, we have updated the opmn.xml files on both the server as we update normally for the active/passive clustering. When we try to start opmn, it fails and no logs are being reported as well. Any idea?

Have you tried to check to below logs
Essbase Not Starting Using OPMN, Receive Fatal Error: "Cannot open essbase.log file" (Doc ID 1574200.1)

Try to clear (backup and delete) your state directory under opmn. See if you can run the "opmnctl startall" command then to see if it generates a new state folder for not. If not then there's likely an issue with your opmn.xml file. Start there and see what happens. I often find stepping through the config process over again helps (which you've likely done already) but sometimes a typo will pop up at me. You can also try checking your opmn.xml in IE our other XML checker to ensure no syntax errors. If it won't open in IE (blank) then there's likely a syntax issues and that would certainly cause open to fail and not log anything.
if you can, check your opmn.xml file and post it or snd it, feel free! Just the out anything personal/identifying first.

Hi All,
We are trying to configure active/Passive clustering in EPM 11.2 (SQL server 2016 as EPM repository with HA).
We configured as similar to the steps as listed in https://blogs.perficient.com/2020/04/21/building-an-active-passive-essbase-cluster-in-a-hyperion-high-availability-ha-environment-2/
Then we ended up with the error in leasemanager.log shows the error:
[ESSBASE0] [NOTIFICATION:16] [LM-9] [LM] [ecid: 1442854174685,0] [tid: 140298866731328] Attempt to connect to database failed with error [[DataDirect][ODBC lib] Data source name not found and no default driver specified].
[ESSBASE0] [NOTIFICATION:16] [LM-9] [LM] [ecid: 1442854174685,0] [tid: 140298866731328] Attempt to connect to database failed with error [[DataDirect][ODBC lib] Data source name not found and no default driver specified].
We tried copying the 7.1 ODBC drive from old servers as specified in https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocumentDisplay?_afrLoop=212270245144199&parent=EXTERNAL_SEARCH&sourceId=PROBLEM&id=2059632.1&_afrWindowMode=0&_adf.ctrl-state=bwq6k97ox_4
but it doesn't help.
Can someone update if they face similar issues while configuring active/passive clustering in EPM 11.2.

I need to ask....why setup an Essbase Cluster? This provides no real HA and some headaches
