Oracle DB 12.1.0.2

Hello Team,

i recently configured a DG from RAC to standalone. archivelogs are being shipped from RAC to the standby DB. Standby DB is receiving archivelogs from primary.

The issue is I noticed the MRP0 process is stuck.

select process, thread#, sequence#, status from v$managed_standby where process='MRP0';

PROCESS      THREAD#  SEQUENCE# STATUS

--------- ---------- ---------- ------------

MRP0               1          4 WAIT_FOR_GAP

How can I solve this?

Regards,

Joe

    Hi Joe,

obviously some archivelogs got deleted at primary before they could be shipped to the standby. You should check the standby's alert.log to see which archivelogs (sequence#, thread#) are missing and try to restore those from backup to make them available again. Then try to stop/start managed recovery in case it does not resume on it's on.

In case the archivelogs in question cannot easily be restored, you can roll forward your physical standby with an incremental backup and then start the managaed recovery again.

    Cheers,

    Hi Marc,

after restore, should I rename logfiles from +DATA to /data (ASM to filesystem)? or just recover the db and start replication.

I am getting error when drop logfiles:

ORA-00261: log 11 of thread 1 is being archived or modified

    ORA-00312: online log

Did you see any error in alert log files?

Also do check v$dataguard_status view to check any messages.
