OVS 3.4.6 not able to install on Dell PowerEdge R740

Hello,

I am installing OVM 3.4.6 (V980620-01.iso) on Dell PowerEdge R740 and it panics and reboots and fails. As per the below link, it looks like supported -

I already enabled "Enable Virtualization Technology" under BIOS (F2) -> Processor Settings. Also enabled "SR_IOV Global Enable" option under "Integrated Devices".

Please refer to the attached screenshot, which shows where it fails.

I see a reference in Doc ID 2484300.1, but I can't into grub (if this matters). I don't see any option of grub, while booting with or without iso.

Please suggest, if I need to change/adjust something.

Replying to my own thread.

So...I was able to install OVM on R740. I had to disable x2APIC from BIOS and then it was able to install further.
