Move notification out of diagnostics pack

Professional monitoring needs notifications. Notifications are bundled with diagnostics pack. Diagnostics pack is only available with EE.

Therefore, no-one can monitor and notify non-EE troubles. This restricts the range of OEM massively.

Please move notifications to the OEM base license or sell it as an extra notification (pack) option.

    Just for clarification: You are not talking about scheduler notifications, right? Afaik they do not belong to a cost option.

    Threashold (and other types) monitoring as done by OEM can use a feature called "Advanced Event Notification" which is indeed part of Diagnostics pack.

    However I wonder if there is also a "Basic Event Notification". If I remember correctly then even in SE is a possibility to get notified about certain events.

    So it might be usefull to differentiate. WHich excat types of events should send a license-free notification?

    I am talking about _any_ Enterprise Manager event notification which is part of Diagnostic Pack:

    <Quote>

    Define and use different notification methods including e-mail, running custom OS scripts, PL/SQL procedures and SNMP traps; repeat notifications, use of notification-related actions in incident rule sets, administrator notification schedules.

    Only sending SMS directly from OEM is free of charge if I got it right. But this is not feasible for larger operation centers.
