Set cache attribute to partition.

CACHE attribute can be set on table level but not on partition level.

However new Oracle features (12.2.) allow much more possibilities on partitioning, e.g. multicolumn list partitioning, automatic list partitioning.

They enable interesting possibilities to make applications to run faster just by utilizing suitable data structures.

Allowing CACHE attribute to be set on partition level would allow better control what data is cached on database and thus reducing IO.

Same kind of effects could be obtained by using different buffer pools, but that is cumbersome effect and could waste memory contrary to unified memory pool.
