OL7 upgrade to OL8

in Oracle Linux
I remember @Avi Miller-Oracle mentioning that there is no upgrade path. But it is curious that red hat seems to have an upgrade path using leapp and BOOM. Is Oracle not looking at using the same or similar process? I have hundreds of OL7 VMs. I cannot manage standing up OL8 VMs and migrating. It would be nice to take advantage of this process.

We are working on bringing Leapp support to allow upgrades from OL7 to OL8. We had hoped to release this with OL8U3 which was released yesterday, but we're not quite there yet. We have a slightly more complex set of upgrade scenarios because of the UEK, so we're still working through all of those and ensuring we do all the appropriate QA.
But it's coming. :)
