installation of OL 8.1 loops

Installing OL 8.1 on VBox vm. First anomoly is that the screen from which you configure nertwork, software, time/date, etc. does not have an entry for root password. Instead, it prompts for it after you've configured everyting else and hit 'install'.
But the real issue is that after completing install the last button is 'reboot'. And with that, when the machine reboots it goes back into the installation sequence, starting with options for 'start .. install' | 'test this mediea' and 'troublshooting'.

Hi,
This may seem very obvious, but apparently the boot is configured for the ISO image and not for the 'HD', check this in the VirtualBox settings. Remove the installation image from the configuration.

Right, this is a VirtualBox issue, not an Oracle Linux 8 issue. Also, the issue with root password prompt is fixed in Oracle Linux 8 Update 3 onwards as upstream moved the password entry field back to the main Anaconda screen.
However, Oracle Linux 7 does the same thing: the main config screen doesn't include the user configuration. That happens during package install.

The boot order of the vm was it. Long time since dealing with it, and forgot.
Thanks.

The 8.3 ISO is properly ejected at the end of the installation process. The 8.1 ISO is not.

That's what I was suspecting.
