Goldengate configuration

Greetings,

We are looking for a white paper or Oracle Doc ID to help us implement a 100% source side drive Goldengate implementation. That would basically mean all Goldengate binaries, extract, pump, replicat all run on the source database, and send SQL statement to a tns/OCI connection at the target.

We think this represents exactly what we need, but we can't seem to find the specific details on how to set it up.

Any ideas are most welcome.

    Hi ,

This is called Remotely applying the data. If your Source OGG and Target OGG are going to get configured in same OGG server and or same OGG instance, then you don't need a Pump process. The Extract process will write the data to the EXTTRAIL and the Replicat process read the data from the EXTTRAIL and apply it to the Target database server remotely.
