How to sync datafiles to DR database that sync via archivelog

Hi, 

I have a DR database that gets synchronized with primary (Using Manual script) by continuously applying the archive logs. Whenever I create a data file on primary, I had to rebuild my DR database to bring the newly created data file to the DR database.

Is there any way to create the same data file on DR as well and continue to apply the archive logs without rebuilding the entire DR database?

do you have "standby_file_management" in your standby/DR site? if yes what is its value?
