Migrating Oracle Linux 7 VM to SCVMM Hyper-V
We use System Center VMM 2019. In the role of a server hypervisor with Hyper-V 2016 and 2019.
Faced a problem while migrating VM Oracle Linux 7.
Linux uses LVM partitions. If several disks are present, then the disk metadata is violated during migration: on a block device containing PV, the FS label changes - instead of Linux LVM, the FS label was displayed as DOS
As a result, when the system starts up, the LVM partition is not activated. Manual activation helps until the first reboot of the system.
Q: what could be the reason for the violation of the integrity of LVM metadata when migrating VM Linux to Hyper-V?
