ESRI Spatial Database (Geodatabase) Tuning in Oracle 11g

Hi,
I am in the middle of tuning an Oracle Geodatabase. The database performance is slow.
The geodatabase architecture is built under cost-based optimizer. In general, what parameter / setting do I have to look into ? How or When do I consider that the parameters are good or bad ?
Environment : Oracle 11G, Geodatabase 10.5
Thanks

Why do you use such an outdated ORACLE version? You will not find much support for it here.
-
Hi,
Its because that's all we have.
-
That's a pity!
I'm afraid, most of us don't have an ORCALE 11 system anymore...

Is your Geodatabase using native Oracle Spatial geometry storage (SDO_GEOMETRY) or an Esri data type?
-
Hi David,
here i am using esri data type. Any suggestion ?
thanks

A side note to Yockee: If you have an active support contract for your Oracle Database, you are entitled to upgrades and updates without additional costs. Please see the Lifetime Support Policy for details. The Oracle Database you can find on page 5. https://www.oracle.com/us/support/library/lifetime-support-technology-069183.pdf

As you are using an ESRI proprietary type, you need to discuss this with ESRI. If you are interested in exploring the use of Oracle native spatial type (supported by ESRI) we will be glad to help.
