Hello there,

Encouraged by ASKTOM team, I raise the following column DEFAULT functionality request

Inserted value will be strictly defined as default, and there is no other way how to insert a different value. Typically, TIMESTAMP column to be defined as systimestamp. This functionality is often required, good elaboration about this topic we can see on

Nevertheless, all these ideas are not so perfect. so enforced default value would be a nice new feature of oracle database, with advanced possibilities for insert like direct-path insert.

Thanks,

Dusan
