Initial load with OGG hub

Hi Team,

I am new to OGG. we need to setup OGG replication from oracle to oracle database.

During initial discussion, it was highlighted that, due to bandwidth limitation, and solaris to linux migration only possible way is to take expdp dump with SCN and load it in target server.

Will this be ok? do we have to start the extract in microservices architecture, before taking expdp dump with SCN and load in target database server, and then later start replication with same SCN number onwards.

Thanks in advance for your advices.

absolutely, bandwidth or not, when you are initial loading between two same type databases, aka oracle to oracle you should always us native utilities, in this case expdp/impdp is fine.
