Cannot open web catalog online : (500)Internal server error.

I am trying to access the web catalog online using catalog manager and am getting the following error message
Unknown connection error: (500)Internal server error.
Any help would be truly appreciated, I've struggled.
Thanks

The Catalog Manager uses the Presentation Services Web App to see the Presentation Catalog. Therefore it is highly likely that you have a problem with your Presentation Services Web App. Is is working if you try to go Answers? Have you checked the log files?

turns out it might be related to a bug: in an SSO environment the catalog cannot be opened online. I don't know if there is a workaround unfortunately

    Hi Fiston,

in version 10.1.3.3 I am able to open the Catalog Online with SSO enabled, but I'm pretty sure on a 10.1.3.2 I wasn't able to.

Can you confirm that your version is before 10.1.3.3?

Also, are you sure you're getting a 500 error? I'm getting a 401 Unauthorized error with SSO on 10.1.3.2.

  • Hi Fiston,

It seems your presentation service was stopped working.
Please make sure that your presentation service and OC4J working also BI Server to avoid authentication error in loggin in catalog manager

I checked that, if i stop presentation server i am getting the same problem... so i think this may be the problem

    Thanks & Regards
