Hi,

Financial report:

In a report i want in Col:=1 ( Year=prompt) , Col:=2 (Year=Prompt-1),

If the user selects 2008 in col:=1, i need to get 2007 in col:=2 ....how can we get it...

If i put Col=1 ( Year=User POV) & col=2(YEAR=Relative member currnent POV year:Off set=-1) ....WORKS PERFECTLY.

But if i do the same with Promt ....It is Prompting Twice For COl=1 & Col=2.......

How can i get only 1 prompt

thnx in advance

This setting is each account only and applies to all workspace reports. To clarify as below:

    1. All Reports.
    2. No each user will need to set their preferences.
    3. Each user will need to set their preferences.

    Hi Anuradha,

use merge similar promts option in Hyperion workspace(File-->Preferences-->Financial Reporting).
But this option works only when both prompts are defined in exactly same way.

    Thanx Rahul,

Could anyone Plz clarify below queries.

    1. If we Set the option to combine 2 prompts in Workspace does it apply to all reports opened in workspace or only this file.

    2. When the report is migrated to production environment does the report open with the same option(Combined prompts).

3.If i give read permission to others does the report open in their workspace with same setting (Combined prompts).

    Thnx in advance

    Thnx,

Do we have any other approach if we put it in prompt....& i feel that the user will be confused with prompt displaying the option (respond to prompts at report level/grid level).

    Thnx

use prompts only when you have to select more than one member from a dimension at a time while running reports.

User userPOV or grid POV other wise.

    Rahul
