Hi all,

We are trying to migrate a Oracle Spatial between two enviroments. We are using exp/imp to copy our database schema (GEO_DATA)

However, in the new enviroment after set MapViwer to connect to this schema, we can not see any layer or imformation about maps.

We execute a count(*) on MDSYS.ALL_SDO_STYLES, MDSYS.ALL_SDO_THEMES and MDSYS.ALL_SDO_MAPS, and we find this:

Source enviroment

MDSYS.ALL_SDO_STYLES 1710 Rows

MDSYS.ALL_SDO_THEMES 602 Rows

MDSYS.ALL_SDO_MAPS 4 Rows

Target Enviroment

MDSYS.ALL_SDO_STYLES 78 Rows

MDSYS.ALL_SDO_THEMES 0 Rows

MDSYS.ALL_SDO_MAPS 0 Rows

It looks like the metadata was not loaded into MDSYS.

In your experince about this, are we missing some steps to migrate our Oracle Spatial data?

We would appreciate your help

Regards!

    Hi,

    We solved the issue.

After imp/exp we run some scripts for create metadata, however, the all metadata were not recreated succesfully.

We export/import metadata with Map Builder. After this, everything works fine.

    Thanks for your comments.
