Oracle BPM - How to achieve sampling on activities

Hi,

I have a requirement where only a certain percentage of instances should flow to a User activity in BPM. This should be a configurable parameter.

How can I do this in BPM?

Use Case: Certain percentage of tasks will flow to quality check. If the sampling value is set at 50% every second case will move to quality check.

Thanks!

    Hi,

I don't know of any mechanism in Oracle BPM  that you can leverage. What I'd do is to create a Pl/Sql procedure to determine this. A way of implementing this could be the use of a table, for instance, to register the particular BPM instance. Then that procedure can determine based on the number of registered instances and the percentage if the particular instance is to be considered for the quality control.

Call the procedure using the database adapter.
