unable to connect database from discoverer plus/viewer

Hi All,
Hope all are doing good.
I need your help to connect a EBS database named 'DEV' from oracle BI discoverer plus and Viewer.
We are able to connect production and test EBS databases from discoverer plus and viewer and this was done by senior and unfortunately he left the job. So, i am totally new to Oracle BI discoverer.
Kindly, guide me to connect DEV EBS database from discoverer plus/viewer.
Your help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
First of all you need to have an entry in the tnsnames.ora file for the database. Then you need to copy / ftp the .dbc file from the EBS server to the Discoverer Server. See the "Using Discoverer..." notes below for location, naming, etc.
The default type of logon to Discoverer Plus / Viewer is Standard Mode (OracleBI Discoverer), which uses a Database login. You will need to change that to be Apps Mode (Oracle Applications), which uses an EBS user login.
Here is the Discoverer documentation:

Here are some Notes that may be helpful:
