No output in java console using 1.4 applet

Hello-
I upgraded to 1.4 and noticed that my applets no longer ran.
I changed my IE 5.5 to use 1.4 applets (not sure when that option
came into being), restarted browser and it worked fine. I then went
to the java console and noticed that my printlns did not make it.
Anyone know how I can turn on printlns.

Hi,

do you print to stdout or stderr? I had the same problem printing to stdout. Replacing all System.out.print(...) with System.err.print(...) solved that problem.

Thanks for the help, but unfortunately that didn't work. Dont know why I'd use 1.4 applets anyway ... no one would be able to see them either. I'll just compile with "-target 1.1".
