Single Document as output

843810 Member Posts: 46,938
does anybody know about options for javadoc
or doclets that create a single document instead
of a structure of various document ...

We would like to print a bind our documentation
which is tedious with hundreds of documents to assemble.

Thanx in advance

Yes, the MIF doclet will generate a single PDF document of the entire document. Once set up, it is fully automated. With a single command you can
either generate PDF or print directly to a printer.

It also generates an intermediate set of FrameMaker documents. You can supply a FrameMaker template to format the page size, margins, running headers, section numbering, etc., etc., etc. See:

BTW, another option is Adobe Acrobat, which will convert all the Javadoc HTML pages to a single PDF document. While this gives you much less control over the formatting than does the MIF doclet, it does not require FrameMaker.
