Do I need an RSA licence?

843810Feb 10 2005 — edited Feb 14 2005
Hi,

I'm in the process of coding my own RSA encryption program in Java and have just been asked by a curious friiend if I need and/or have an RSA licence to do this.

I am based in the UK, and just want to implement the algorithm to encrypt strings and files. Am I violating the RSA patent with this?

Thanks!
