exploit-obscuredhtml alert while generating XML

843834Mar 5 2007 — edited Mar 6 2007
While generating XML with xmlspace set and outputed to stout, mcafee alerts of exploit-obscuredhtml trojan. If I remove the xmlspace and output to stdout it is OK.

Any idea?

Thanks
Ahmad

Is it worth worrying about? Does your design require writing XML to stdout on a regular basis? Somehow I doubt it. And for testing you could write to a file.

No; I just wanted to know how can the Xmlnamespace be detected as Trojan. I want to know how can it harm the pc or how can it be exploited.

Oh, I see. I assumed you were asking a question about XML. Well, the anti-virus program people aren't in the habit of documenting how to run these exploits. There's enough people already who know how to do it without telling the world.
