Hi there,

I am having trouble with starting initial load. I get error “WARNING OGG-01194 EXTRACT task ILREP_2M abended : There is no trail to reposition to when doing direct load task.”

I dont quite understand what that means, although I have the same param files as in examples in documentation. I use oracle goldengate version 11.1.

I would appreciate any help.

here is initial load scripts:

    Hi,

Try to include HANDLECOLLISIONS parameter in replicat prm file,
and can you run the below command and paste the output here, that will help to identify exact error.
    target side

    view report <replicat_name>

Could you upload the structure of table TEOD.SUBS_HISTORY and also check if the tablespace, in which the tables reside in the target database, has enough free space ?

the structure of the table subs_history is:

    (subs_id NUMBER ,
    num_history NUMBER ,
    clnt_id NUMBER,
    st_id NUMBER,
    phone_id NUMBER,
    stat_id NUMBER,
    trpl_id NUMBER,
    weight NUMBER,
    zone_id NUMBER,
    stime DATE,
    etime DATE,
    cre_user_id NUMBER,
    cre_date DATE,
    rlb_id NUMBER,
    close_date DATE,
    csc_id NUMBER(14,0))

There is plenty of space in tablespaces.

    Hi,

Does your source table contain data? If all the rows in it are replicated then the replicat abends as you are performing an initial load. After initial load try to use exttrail and rmttrail in replicat and extract parameters to solve this issue.

    Thanks.

The table has data. Right now I am configuring and running only initial load process. exttrail and rmttrail are needed when configuring online change synchronization process.

    Have you done
    dblogin userid username, password <pwd>
add trandata user.tablename on extract side.

Also have you enabled supplemental log data at database level.
