Connect to DB without listener?

846231Apr 25 2011 — edited Apr 26 2011
Hi,

Oracle11gR2

Is there a way to connect to the database even if the listener is down? (meaning bypass the listener)

Assuming I login as local user to the server.

Thanks

YES! Thank you so much. I wish the article went in to more detail of what was happening and why this fixes it. Would love to learn more. Regardless, I appreciate you sharing this with me to help me out.
