Is it still possible to wrap swing components in javaFX 2?

javaFX 1 API provided the
.. javafx.ext.swing.SwingComponent ..
package that allowed to wrap swing components in javaFX applications. This package is not available in javaFX 2 Beta API. Is there a new way to do the same trick in the new API? Or has the feature been removed, and why?
thanks.

Not any longer, but you can do the reverse. Check out http://download.oracle.com/javafx/2.0/swing/jfxpub-swing.htm

Using Swing components in an FX scenegraph is not currently supported. You can use FX components in a Swing application using the interop bridge, but not the reverse. As for why, I think it's a matter of what the team felt was most important in order to make FX2 really nice.
If you find things you can't do with FX that you think a swing component would be the resolution for, please post it. -
I would like to add a GLCanvas or a GLJPanel (from jogl) in a javaFX application, as demoed here: http://lexapplets.appspot.com/javafxjogl.html

Did you go through the link provided by javafx4you? You can include your FX components in a Swing application.
