I have installed Java Development kit. I am able to compile a hello program and I did get a class file. But I rum my html page an error came out with the following message:

load: class hello1 class not found.
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: hello1 class

Can any one pls help?

Post your code, the commands you used, the directory structure you are using, and the directory you were in when you executed the commands.

My code in .java is as follows:
public class hello1 extends java.applet.Applet {
public void init () {
System.out.println ("Hello world");
}
}

My html code is as follows:
<title>Hello World</title>
<applet code="hello1 class"
width=200
height=200
>
</applet>

All these codes and the compiled class file are all in the C: drive.

I asked a question about command lines and two questions about directories. You haven't answered any of them. The C: drive is a drive not a directory. You can't be helped until you disclose this information.

The attribute

code="hello1 class"

isn't right. Find where your book or tutorial told you to do that, and look more closely at what it said.
