I am trying to install Oracle on the Server, there is no client. Firewall is disabled anyway.

    [[email protected] nitro]# iptables --list
    Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT)
    target prot opt source destination

    Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT)
    target prot opt source destination

    Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT)
    target prot opt source destination

you must be logged on the OS as the same OS user who owns ORACLE_HOME directory tree

    id
    env | sort

COPY commands above & results then PASTE all back here

The graphical installer has been run using the oracle user. I notice that the ORACLE_BASE directory might be wrong but I don't know why. I don't have a /u01 directory. Here are the commands you wanted:

    login as: oracle
    [email protected]'s password:
    Last login: Sun Jul 15 16:49:09 2012

    [[email protected] ~]$ lsnrctl
    -bash: lsnrctl: command not found

    [[email protected] ~]$ id
