Spec:
Windows 2008
Oracle 11g r2

I am trying to recreate my services in since I am unable restart it, but getting the following error:
F:\Oracle_Prod\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1>SC DELETE OracleServiceMydb
[SC] DeleteService SUCCESS

F:\Oracle_Prod\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1>oradim -new -sid Mydb -startmode auto -pfile F:\Oracle_Prod\product\1
ome_1\database\initMydb.ora
Instance created.
Unable to start service, OS Error 1056
DIM-00019: create service error
O/S-Error: (OS 1053) The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
I have restarted the server and tried it again, but still getting the above error.

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

When was last time SERVICE ran without error?
    What changed since then?

All indications are root cause is external to Oracle.
Oracle is victim; not the culprit.

Just today - I only shutdown the services to apply the July patch and after applying the patch, when I start the services, I got an error. It was then that I decidede to delete it and reinstall it.

OS should be logging issues regarding problem starting & running OS Service.
    What clues exist from OS?

I found the resolution somewhere online and here is how I resolved it:

    1. Temperarily changed the file oracle.exe to oracle.exe_chg
    %ORACLE_HOME%/BIN/oracle.exe.chg

    2. Delete service name
    oradim -delete -sid mysid

    3. Recreate my service name

    oradim -new -sid mysid

    4. Change the oracle.exe.chg back to oracle.exe
    %ORACLE_HOME%/BIN/oracle.exe
