Hi all,

I have installed R distribution from CRAN open source and trying to install the ORCH package(which is a zip file) using:

R CMD INSTALL orch -l /package/location

but it did not get installed.

Does ORCH works with the above R distribution and if yes how to install this package?

Thanks in advance for help.

    Hi,

    I found a documentation here :

This documentation specified that the downloaded file is orhc.tgz.zip file whereas I am downloading and getting orch.zip file.

I am downloading it from here:

    Please help.

    Regards,
    Rakesh

    Hi Rakesh,

ORCH will also work with R from CRAN.

    Please try the following steps:

    1. Unzip the orch_1.1.zip file. E.g.:
    unzip orch_1.1.zip

    2. Install ORCH package from directory. E.g.:
    R CMD INSTALL ORCH

At this point you should see the following log (or similar):

    R CMD INSTALL ORCH
    * installing to library ‘/Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/2.15/Resources/library’
    * installing source package ‘ORCH’ ...
    ** R
    ** inst
** preparing package for lazy loading
    ** help
No man pages found in package ‘ORCH’
    *** installing help indices
    ** building package indices
** testing if installed package can be loaded
    *** arch - i386
    <... and more ...>

    3. Remove ORCH source directory, you don't need it any more. E.g.:
    rm -rf ORCH
