ANALYZE_SCHEMA vs GATHER_SCHEMA_STATS

Hi,

What is tyhe difference between DBMS_STATS.GATHER_SCHEMA_STATS and DBMS_UTILITY.ANALYZE_SCHEMA ?

What package make the best work ?

GATHER_SCHEMA_STATS is the latest version of analyze_schema. basically, both have the same functionality,

you can do index=>cascade with dbms_stats
for global indexes and partitions tables best statsitcs dbms_stats is recommended.
