Search dropdown doesn't update properly

Well, we keep finding things here, and I'm just passing them along:

When using the search tab, if you use enter instead of hitting the search button, the search term in the field reverts to the last search. The search results are correct for the new item. Here's an example sequence of events from our internal bug tracking system that works here:

Launch the Help system.
Select the Search tab.
Type 'spaceball' in the Search box and press the Enter key. Nothing is found. (that's OK)
Now type 'space' in the Search box and press the Enter key.
Topics are found, but the Search box reverts to 'spaceball' instead of 'space'.

If you press the Search button instead of the Enter key above, the behavior is correct.
