Creating SQL based View Object is taking very huge time.
HI All,
i am trying to create SQL based VOs from My JDEV.
But for small query aslo it is taking very long time. This is not only for me and to all my teammates.
Sometimes Jdev hangs and strucks there only .
Could anyone please provide if there any solution for this.
Am using JDEV : 11g Release 2 (11.1.2.1.0)

Hi,
Are you sure that your DB you are trying to connect to is accessible from your laptop?
To me it sounds like there is a network connection issue with your DB.

I am able to execute the SQL query from SQL developer with out any issues and giving results in very quick time.

From the same machine where you face this problem with JDeveloper? Have you tried running the same query from SQL Worksheet in JDeveloper and see if it takes time?
By the way, do you face this slow response in Design Time or Runtime?

Can you paste your query here?Also can you confirm that you are running the same query from the same machine using SQL developer and it is running fine?

From SQL WorkSheet as well it is taking so long time. where as in SQL developer its in secs giving teh results.

Hi BM,
Go to Tool, Preferences, Web Browser and Proxy and enabled/disable the use of a proxy server to access your DB.Regards
