I am dropping a table and creating the same as part of PLSQL execution. Once this table is created successfully, I am gathering table statistics too on this. But no index is created at all. Can you please let me know if this gather_Table_stats will work effectively?

Should I have to consider anything else here to improve the performance of my execution.

Thanks,

Ganu

Ya.. How about not creating Objects dynamically? Dynamic objects are almost and always a design flaw. So tell us why are you creating table during run time, what is the purpose?

    1. What is the Cardinality of that table ,

    2. Is it temporary table or a permanant table

    3. What is the Table Size ( in MB )

These are some basic few factors that affect the gathering statistics can u share me those  ,

If you wondering about does gathering stats is correct or not. Look to E-Rows and A-Rows to get information about correctivity of stats.
