Hi All,

I am developing application using Oracle Apex 4.2.5.

I have created one Classic Report with Pivot Table query.

I need to set Column width for individual column.

But it is not working.

I am using Function returning colon delimited headings

Is there any solution for this alignment of Classic Report?

Thanks,

Saying "it is not working" is a complete waste of your time and ours. What is the exact nature of the problem?

There are a lot of possible solutions, many of them dependent on the theme and report template, which have not been specified.

how to get answers from forum

    Thanks for reply fac586,

But it doesnt changed in run time.

I am Using Productivity Application Theme.

    Using Region Report Template

I too tried in Column Attributes--> Element Attributes as

    style=width:50px

What doesn't change? We can't see what you are seeing. We don't know what this means.

Unclear. There is no "Region Report Template" included in the default theme 26. Is that a custom report template you have created, or are you confusing region and report templates? What is the value of the Report Template property in the Layout and Pagination section of the report attributes?

Report templates must include the #COLUMN_WIDTH# substitution string in the Column Heading or Column Template definition in order to support declarative column widths.

I too tried in Column Attributes--> Element Attributes as
    style=width:50px

The Element Attributes property only applies to tabular form controls. Is this a tabular form or a standard report? For a standard report, CSS rules are specified in the Column Formatting CSS Style property (without including the "style" attribute).

Can you please tel the solution?

No. It's impossible to identify a solution when you don't understand the problem.

50, 60, or 70 pixels is not very wide. What is the nature of the data in these columns? If any of the displayed column values exceeds the specified width then the defined behaviour for HTML tables is for the column to expand to fit the data. Does any of the data or the column heading exceed the specified width?

    50px

    60px

    70px

    Here is my report image

    d.png

Here Item name is not in single line, then Column name is not in single line.

    Template : Reports Region

    Display Point: Page Template Body(3)

I need to proper alignment for this report.

    Thanks,

    Su.gi

That appears to be because the report would be too wide for the page if it was displayed according to your expectations. We need to see the full page.

The original question about column widths appears to be inappropriate, because if the width of the first column was actually set to 70 pixels, "NATRAJ WOOD PEN" would certainly not fit in it on a single line...

You are confusing region and report templates. See above:

Then I suggest you reproduce it on a public page on apex.oracle.com so we can fully understand it.

I would factor out the repeated month/year information from the column headings as being redundant, and include it in the region title or a table caption. The width of the column headings would then be reduced, potentially allowing the first column to be wider.
