If I answer to your question, it will bump up this thread again. it's not what I expect. However I will answer.

    ----

    > The community is already filled with "unconcluded" threads.

    Yes it seems, unfortunately.

Is it the reason why you want to close(archive) this therad with no conclusion?

    > You've been beating on this for over 2 years now.

    > You indicated earlier that you had an SR to address your original problem.

    Yes.

    > If you are not satisfied with the result of that SR,

    > you need to take it up with Oracle Support,

In the SR, they responds that they keep waiting internal.

    ----

    > There is absolutely nothing anyone here can do to resolve your problem

    > with OLEDB,

    It may be so, unfortunately.

    However,

    > not the public forum.

how can you know nobody in the community resolves your problem before you ask to the community?

We had asked to Oracle Support. However, it takes too long time for us.

So we expect that we colud POSSIBLY get resolved in the community more sooner.

You may know absolutely nobody in this community will never resolve our problem.

    ----

    > your problem with the way the community is administered is a problem only to you.

    ..., and so on.

The rule "120 days" also seems to apply to this community.

Our old thread had archived and we could not find the way to unarchive it.

    ----

    > So how has your periodic bumping of the thread worked out for you so far?

    > Has it gotten you any closer to a resolution?

If "resolution" means "for our problem of OLE DB", the answer may be "No".

If it means "for keeping unarchived", "Yes" it works.

    > The definition of insanity is

    > doing the same thing over and over again and

    > expecting a different result.

We expect same result. It's "keeping unarchived" until the SR will give some conclusion.

    ----

Fortunately(?), this autumn it seems some activities occured in the SR.

So we are expecting now that we will give this thread some conclusion in 120 days.

However the update on next about 120 days may be a "only bumping up", unfortunately.

If we get the conclusion, we intend to bump up this thread.

We intend only to keep unarchived the thread while we are waiting.

We show the responses from support in the thread below:

We could not get the conclusion yet.

We did not update the thread below,

because it was updated in Aug, 2018. We may update it in Dec, 2018(after 120 days).

    > periodic bumping

We don't want to bump up threads.

    2019/02/18 + 120days = 2019/06/18.

Our last SR started on Aug, 2016.

We have received the same response 45 times since Nov, 2017.

No one here can help you with an SR issue.

How has your constant posting on this forum worked out for you far?

I've read that the definition of insanity is "doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome."

    2019/06/18 + 120days = 2019/10/16

What is the reason why moderators don't answer anything?

    2019/10/15 + 120days = 2020/02/12

    ----

Our last SR is not completed yet.
