Hi I am trying to connect to oracle database using excel but I am getting error as Oracle Client and

Hi I am trying to connect to oracle database using excel but I am getting error as Oracle Client and networking components are supplied by oracle corporation and are aprt of Oracle version 7.3. or later client software installation. Provider is unable to function untill these components are installed. Please help.

You need to have Oracle Client or Instant Client installed in your Windows environment to access Oracle database via Excel.

Also make sure you Oracle environment variables are set in the environment either through command prompt or registry. In case if you don't have Oracle environment variables setting is not in your registry, set them in command prompt and invoke Excel from that command prompt. This would allow you connect to Oracle database via Excel without any error.
