Patching/Provisioning with OEM in practice

Hi ,
Just wonder how many of you use the patching option in OEM 12c for DB/Grid PSU Installations ? Would you recommend this way of patching or prefer the manual method.
Is it stable ? I started to play with it and single DB is ok but with Data Guard and Oracle Restart I'm getting few issues.
The same question for DB provisioning. Are you using it or prefer other automation method like Puppet ?
